Student Well-being

At the Canadian School of Milan, the health and well-being of our students is a central priority. We understand the important role that mental health plays in a student’s ability to learn, grow, and succeed—not just academically, but personally and socially as well.

To support our students, CSM offers a dedicated counseling service that includes both confidential one-to-one sessions and group workshops focused on motivation, personal development, and emotional resilience. These sessions provide students with a safe space to explore their feelings, reflect on challenges, and develop tools for living more resourcefully and confidently.

Students may access counseling for a variety of reasons, including difficulties with stress, study pressures, low mood, friendship dynamics, or family concerns. Support may also be recommended by teachers or staff who recognise when a student might benefit from additional guidance.

Our aim is to nurture a culture of openness, care, and proactive well-being. Through both our counseling services and our structured PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic) curriculum, we equip students with the emotional literacy, empathy, and coping strategies they need to thrive in school and in life.

In addition, all campuses are staffed with qualified first aiders to ensure physical safety and immediate response when needed—complementing our broader commitment to student welfare in every sense.
